Tracebacks in dmesg show this to be the case. At this point 8chan is basically a big collection of symbolic links, but they all fall to one NFS server for resolution to the others. I thought NFS symbol links have a caching mechanism, but they don't. Since I/O contention is a HUGE problem on 8chan given the fact it has a shitty file cache on the hard disk (the REAL reason behind the Infinity Next project), uninterruptible follow_link processes competing with read/write from that server spell PHP dying.>At least, in theory, maybe.>Now I have to think about how to fix this. It's not a quick fix, I have to move a lot of files around. ETA 8 hours if it works.
