>Still, I don't think the US can maintain its status as the world's largest economy and most advanced and abundant consumer market without the dollar's hegemony.
You're right, in fact, that's probably what's keeping everything afloat (for now).
>Much to the disapproval of the public, our government did participate in the Afghanistan and Iraq war shortly after Bush gave out his ultimatum of "you're either with us or you're with the terrorists" to the world.
That's scary. I can imagine then some future president here giving you guys another ultimatum: "accept these refugees/migrants permanently into your country by the millions, don't bother to even vet them and accept this diversity and all the domestic social load and problems that come along with that, or you're with the enemy!". That's basically what they're trying to do to Viktor Orbán and Hungary, but he doesn't budge, builds a working patrolled border fence to keep out illegal entry and is childishly referred to as a "fascist" for giving at least a ¼ of a fuck about his country and its citizens. Same with Poland.

As for nearly the rest of your post, it seems like it's becoming that way here as well and we're on our way to becoming (if not already) a northern banana republic.
>You can buy an illegal gun easily.
Much easier than if one were to go about obtaining one through the legal route, I bet. I'll check off your country as yet another reason why gun control needs to continue to be resisted here.
>You can even sell Toyota pickup trucks to ISIS if you want and you won't get into trouble. (For some reason they only buy Toyota)
ISIS uses the Toyota Hilux (which is available worldwide, except here and a handful of other countries, but we do have a similar less rugged model called "Tacoma"), which is an incredibly reliable and durable pickup truck. They can easily clock in half a million miles (~805,000 km) and still keep going pretty strong.
