I am speaking on behalf of Bill Gates and every other nerd that works at Microsoft® Corporation:

We are closing down the Internet.
Thank you for your support.
Good-bye.

Holy shit finally. You really took your sweet time.

3 : Nameless@Passing through the lobby [CL] (*.movistar.cl) : 20/05/16(fri)02:07:54 ID:sh/g6Il90

Did Trump order this

4 : Nameless@Passing through the lobby [MX] (*.avantel.net.mx) : 20/05/16(fri)02:23:39 ID:ciLpIVUC0

Thank god. Shut the Internet down.

5 : Nameless@Passing through the lobby [CL] (*.movistar.cl) : 20/05/16(fri)02:25:41 ID:YgGQURel0

It'd be the best thing that could ever happen.
And while you're at that, get rid of cellphones too, please.

>>3
Yes. (*゚ー゚)

7 : Nameless@Passing through the lobby [CL] (*.movistar.cl) : 20/05/16(fri)12:41:25 ID:AggstYKG0

Are we moving to the freenet or the deep web?

8 : Nameless@Passing through the lobby [US] (*.comcast.net) : 20/05/16(fri)17:53:45 ID:RlpDA2lJ0

>>5 Getting rid of cellphones would be a blessing. I hate hearing people talking into their phone on the bus or in a waiting room or lobby

9 : Nameless@Passing through the lobby [CL] (*.movistar.cl) : 21/05/16(sat)02:52:03 ID:4SjAmdQYR

I hate the fact that anyone can call me at any moment and ask me where I am.
I want to be free.

10 : Nameless@Passing through the lobby [AR] (*.telmex.net.ar) : 21/05/16(sat)04:09:24 ID:8vZmfh6J0

I don't think getting rid of cellphones would be good.
Just stop trying to replace computers and make its hardware free, so we can finally stop feeding the Big Brother.

11 : Nameless@Passing through the lobby [CL] (*.movistar.cl) : 21/05/16(sat)06:47:18 ID:BFmokyOc0

Hello yes, I still own a dumbphone. I'd only get a smartphone to install BaI Reader.

12 : Nameless@Passing through the lobby [CL] (*.movistar.cl) : 22/05/16(sun)04:27:43 ID:N7jNQtYQ0

>>1 I wish that was true.

13 : Nameless@Passing through the lobby [CL] (*.nextelmovil.cl) : 25/05/16(wed)01:05:46 ID:xrIa4nEP0

Sadly the Internet is still up.

14 : Nameless@Passing through the lobby [BG] (78.90.*.*) : 01/06/16(wed)02:49:42 ID:Bw4AtqrI0

If it shut down, we can make for ourselves a new internet and make it accessible only through desktop computers. That alone would make the quality of content a hundred times better than what the internet looks like today.

15 : Nameless@Passing through the lobby [CL] (*.movistar.cl) : 01/06/16(wed)02:55:57 ID:PmaYdZ580

Indeed, mobile shit is killing the net

16 : Nameless@Passing through the lobby [CL] (181.73.*.*) : 01/06/16(wed)14:49:52 ID:bnF8VW770

Hang on, what's wrong with mobile Internet?

17 : Nameless@Passing through the lobby [BG] (78.90.*.*) : 01/06/16(wed)15:03:43 ID:Bw4AtqrI0

Nothing, unless you take into account the culture of instant gratification and media consumption that came out of widespread smartphone use. Internet culture during the desktop computer era was much more about discussion of things in an open environment. Internet culture during the smartphone/web 2.0 era is all about media consumption, narcissism and being a showoff to one's personal echo chamber, also called "friends list."

At least that's how I interpret the transition.
