I prefer Trump over Hillary because of Geopolitical reasons (which are the only reason someone living outside the US should care), that isn't to say that I like him.

What I liked about this elections is that they showed how most career politicians in the U.S. are a complete joke and how Democracy is easily exploited if you have resources.
Sanders endorsing Hillary, backing down his capaign like a bitch, emails showing that the DNC primaries were corrupt as fuck and him playing on Hillary's side in the end; Ted Cruz thinking he had a chance; half of the republican party preferring Clinton over their own candidate because he wasn't one of them; Obama having to give discourses to convince people, not saying that Hillary was good, but that Trump was worse; people crying about the results and wanting to live in Canada; the memes; etc...

Even here people supported Bernie, so seeing him betraying his own movement brought a grin to my face.
I think everyone reasonable would have predicted that Trump was the winner, because you win elections by convincing and saying whatever the majority wants to hear. You can't win if you appeal to minorities, in one way or the other you have to say what the majority wants to hear, as simple as that. Fortunately/sadly, that's basic Democracy for you.
